Program Description:
Lyme disease, currently the most common vector-borne disease in the United States, is extremely common in Rhode Island (1,200+ cases per year). Typical symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans. If left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system.
